Hey Matt,

Well I ate Le Kokolion on Monday night and I must say it was a fantastic experience!

After eaves dropping on an English conversation at a nearby table I was able to ascertain that this place has quite a following in the area and is very popular with film and theatre fraternity. Apparently you can occasionally catch a famous actor or director dining in there, unfortunately I didn’t get to see Audrey Tautou =(

I must admit to being a little worried when I heard beeping microwaves in the background after I placed my order but there was no need to be concerned as the dishes served where absolutely fantastic!

I had Terrine of Rabbit for entre' and guinea fowl with linguine for main. The Terrine was served with an excellent salad of peppery rocket, semi sundried tomatoes. The Guinea Fowl was superbly cooked and served with a light reduction sauce with Morel Mushrooms and I think a game stock.

All washed down with a carafe of Syrah, Cabernet, Merlot & Grenache blend.

Thanks for the write up on this otherwise I would never have known this little gem existed!

It sounds like a fabulous experience. I'll be staying nearby, this year. Was it too expensive?

Thank you for this wonderful, wonderful post. I smiled from the first word to the last.
I will be going to Paris in about two months and, after reading your post, the time cannot pass fast enough.

Reading this makes me very home sick! I spend 7 days in Paris in October and absolutely fell in love. Didn't get to spend much time around Monmarte though... next time!

If you have many more photos of Paris I'd love to see them. I've uploaded mine on Facebook.

Write more about Paris! Oh how I miss that city. We didn't get around to seeing Montmartre so thanks for sharing your lovely photographs.

Beautifully expressed, and the photos that accompany the story just take it to another level.

I MUST get myself there, so I can experience the joys of Paris too.

Matt,

Fantastic writing, really thrums with the essence of a happy punter experiencing just what they'd hoped for. Top stuff and, as usual, top pics! Cheers

Matt I just had to comment at how wonderfully you wrote about your first dining experience in Paris! I am so going there (sigh - one day). Your photos are exactly how I imagine it to be as well. Thankyou for sharing.

Loved reading every word; made me hungry and wishing I was in Paris again! You captured the gastronomic essence of Paris perfectly. Photos are great too, I have an almost identical photo to #8 albeit during the day.
